El equipo dirigido por Eder Garrido logró desactivar el ataque de Fishland y sumar tres puntos en la tabla con cómoda ventaja. Aunque el equipo representante de Nuevo Chimbote luchó por defender cada balón, la superioridad de Peerless estuvo en todos los fundamentos y le permitió a Garrido rotar y descansar a sus jugadores titulares como el atacante venezolano Jhoser Contreras y el central de la selección nacional, Daniel Urueña.
“Partido a partido el equipo está más compenetrado. El equipo viene enfocado en la meta de retener el título, hemos entrenado muy duro para lograrlo y cada uno de mis compañeros está comprometido en hacer un trabajo con disciplina y profesionalismo para logar esa meta”, afirmó el capitán de Peerless, Héctor Cancino.
Fishland regresará a la cancha del Coliseo Salesiano este domingo 11 a las 15:00 horas para jugar contra DC Asociados de Tacna. mientras que Peerless enfrentará a las 18:00 horas a Junior del Callao.
